This week I met an old friend of mine in Vienna. It is always fun catching up.

I was quite surprised how Sturm Graz started the season with a 4:0 over Heart of Midlothian. Hopefully the team will be 100 percent focused in Edinburgh, and then there is a big chance to move to the next round of the qualifier.

The Graz Giants won the Austrian championship for the first time since 2008. Congratulations to the team!

At work, we had a lot of meetings, but the transformation of an app from Flask to FastAPI is almost done.

Christoph Strasser got sick and had to quit the race. From the beginning in front is former winner Robin Gemperle.

Tour de France

A lot of drama happened around the Tour de France after publishing the last weeknotes. Jonas Vingegaard crashed and had to quit the Tour de France. A couple of days later, the Tour de France ended for Florian Lipowitz on the ground as well.

Tadej Pogačar won the classic stage to Alpe d’Huez and normally will be the overall winner today in Paris. Richard Carapaz won the jersey for the best climber and the second stage to Alpe d’Huez. He benefited from a horrible crash. Sepp Kuss almost fell down the road.

And one of the most impressive things was the help of the yellow jersey for Isaac del Toro. UAE did everything to get the white jersey and to make Isaac der Toro finish as third overall. But it is unseen for a long period that the man in yellow helped one of his teammates that much. Chapeau Tadej Pogačar.

Due to the fires around Bordeaux, the final stage will be shortened.

Mullvad

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that one of the founders donated to a far right party. The controversy about the donation went viral. That is the reason Mullvad put out a statement. And this statement was not very convincing and actually bad.

Nextcloud

Nextcloud usually presents itself as a secure digital sovereignty alternative to big tech. A couple of weeks ago a data leak was discovered. And now they were the victim of a cyberattack and their main website was offline.
