Weeknotes 2026.32

Sometimes I wonder what people are thinking. This week someone hit a motorbike on our parking lot and then drove off without saying anything. The parking lot is under CCTV surveillance, so it was easy to identify the car owner.

I guess it would have been easier to say something and only some people would have known what happened. Now everyone knows what happened.

This week was quite intense. We got a surprise from our human resources department and had to deal with some bad news.

The announcement that Andy Pavlo joins ClickHouse was probably the biggest surprise of the week in the database field. I am really curious to see what Andy will bring to ClickHouse.
